Soft Sugar Cookies
½ cup butter
½ cup shortening
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
5 ½ cups flour
Refrigerate dough overnight (or add extra flour if you need to roll them out immediately). Roll out to ¼ inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 400° for 7 minutes. DO NOT OVERCOOK.
